There is a miniature version of the LGBT monument in Amsterdam. It is located in the Madurodam park, in The Hague. It was inaugurated on October 24, 2006 by the mayor of that time.
When you visit the LGBT memorial at La Ciudadela Park, you can take some flowers to put them there or on the memorial dedicated to the transsexual woman Sonia as a symbol of solidarity.
The monument is located in La Ciudadela park in Barcelona. Get off at the Arc do Triomf metro station of line 1. Access is located at the intersection of streets Passeig de Picasso and Carrer Destillers.
You can get there via lines 12, 14 and 17 of the tram, or lines 142, 170, 172, 348, 352, 354, 358 and N70 of the bus. Get off at Westermarkt station and walk down Keizersgracht street, towards the north.
Also in Westerkerk square and next to the homomonument is the Pink Point tourist information point, dedicated to gay tourism and where you can get information about gay bars, specialized shops, etc.
As part of the Gay parade, every August 2 the Drag Queen Olympiads are held at the Homomonument in Amsterdam. They start at 7 pm, and registration opens one hour before the event.
The Gay Parade is a festival full of color, fun and parades that takes place in Amsterdam. It takes places on August 1 at 6 pm at the Homomonument of Westerkerk.
