This touristic city, bathed by the Caribbean, is the head of the municipality of Solidaridad, in the state of Quintana Roo, in southeast Mexico. It’s located south of Cancun.
The closest airport is the one in Cancun. It has connecting and direct flights to destinations in America and Europe. To get there, take the bus or rent a car. The ride takes about one hour.
Take the public transport to visit Tulum at a distance of 60km (around 1hr). You can also take the bus at ADO Playa del Carmen station or travel by car.
From Playa del Carmen you can take tours to visit other amazing attractions such as Xcaret (6km), Cozumel (47km) and Cancun (68km), among others.
Just 30 minutes from the road between Playa del Carmen and Tulum, there are several cenotes that you can visit: Chikin Ha, Jardín del Edén, Azul, Dos Ojos and Gran Cenote.
The Cenote Azul opens daily from 8:30 h to 17:30 h.

To get to the Cenote Azul from Playa del Carmen, you must take a bus to Tulum, which costs 1.5 USD. You can also get there by taxi. If you go by car, you must travel on Highway 37.
